Super Skin Black Paint for Silicone Lures

SILIX SUPER SKIN Black is a fast-drying paint for colouring silicone lures. It is suitable for floating and sinking liquid silicone from any manufacturer, adheres well to a correctly prepared surface, and is designed for airbrush application.

It is a convenient choice for makers who need black paint for silicone lures with smooth coverage, rapid drying and reliable adhesion after using PRIMER DIP and FINISH DIP GLOSS.

What SILIX SUPER SKIN is suitable for

1. painting lures made from SILIX silicone and other brands;
2. working with floating and sinking liquid silicone;
3. building black colour in thin layers to reach the required saturation;
4. airbrush application using a 0.3 mm nozzle at 0.8-1 bar;
5. fast application, because the paint sets within a few seconds.

Preparing the lure before painting

1. Prepare hot water at 60-70 degrees, add a few drops of FAIRY washing-up liquid and thoroughly wash the lures. This helps remove silicone residues and lubricants from the surface.
2. Rinse the lures in clean hot water at 60-70 degrees, place them on a clean cloth and let them dry. If the lures were cast in aluminium moulds without lubricants, the first two steps may be skipped.
3. Dip the lure in PRIMER DIP for 10-15 seconds or apply 3-4 coats with an airbrush. Then suspend the lure on a wire for 10-15 minutes so that it does not touch anything.

After PRIMER DIP, the optimal painting time is 5-7 hours. IMPORTANT! Avoid sharply bending the lure during dipping.

How to apply Super Skin Black paint

Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. Apply the paint in thin layers with an airbrush: the colour becomes more intense with each layer, and the fast drying noticeably speeds up painting.

Recommended airbrush settings: 0.3 mm nozzle, 0.8-1 bar pressure. Keep the bottle closed when the paint is not in use.

Finishing coat for better adhesion

After painting, dip the lure in FINISH DIP GLOSS for 3-5 seconds and suspend it again on a wire so that it does not touch anything. The lure can be handled after 5-10 minutes, while complete drying takes about 10 hours.

IMPORTANT! Avoid sharply bending the lure during dipping.

Safety when working with paint

• Paint is a flammable liquid.
• Work in an area with exhaust or supply ventilation.
• Wear gloves; rinse with warm water if paint gets on the skin.
• If paint gets into the eyes, rinse them with warm water.
• Vapours may irritate mucous membranes.
• Store the paint in its original bottle, in a dark place away from direct sunlight.
• Keep out of reach of children.
